The Boat!
The cardboard boat race was today. It was awesome, fun and oh so cold. The race this year was set up in brackets. We were in the first bracket and so raced first. We won the first round hands down. One of the boats in that first round had a cardboard spear that they threw at us as we passes them :) fun. The next round of races were the semi-finals. We were so close to winning that round. The other team only beat us by a little. So close. It was fun though and our oars did not fail us! We just couldn't row fast enough. Next time, next time. I put the boat out to dry in front of the Science building in case we want to keep it. Although next year we sould build a new boat, since this one has seen better days. Sara and I also had our picture taken, with the boat, by someone from the Observer so hopefuly we will be in the next issue of it. *crosses fingers* All in all it was great. We could have had more support from our fellow physics people though. I don't know where they all were but they missed out on a great race and I won't let them live it down.

Colleen, Dan, and I were all at a wedding, otherwise I'm sure we would have made an appearance.
Then you are excused and I won't torment you. *grin*
All the physics faculty were at a physics teachers' meeting at Rocky. Are we excused?
I got over to the slough (or perhaps slew, what with spears flying and all) before noon, but I guess it was all over by then.
Hopefully the Observer got a good picture.
If we were "so close" in the semifinals, you think we can call ourselves 3rd place?
Then I guess I can't harass you professors then. :P And I think that we can safely say we got 3rd place. :)
